Okay...I've been getting into Fruits Basket a little bit too much

Okay, to put some real meaning to the title, I've been getting a little bit obsessed with Kyou from Fruits Basket.

Kyou Sohma, Cat Boy.

Besides the fact that I've always been drawn towards what I refer to as tortured souls characters (Raven, Zuko, Ai Enma...pretty much summing it up with a description of a character with a trouble past, tends to have a rough time associating with other characters, but tend to be overall good intentioned types for the most part), I also am especially interested in him because of my love for cats (hehe

), and possibly because he reminds me of Zuko.

I've gotten through most of the anime, and have yet to get into the manga (waiting for a couple volumes to show up in the mail, it's just too bad the local postal service is so unreliable that they're practically a joke

). I'm hoping to pick up more volumes (Amazon has some great buys

), and eventually get the DVD set for myself. Until then I'll just have to be happy with the two volumes I do have and my Kyo figure

I love cats, and have since kindergarten, I love to draw, write and do crafts, be artistic in general, and sing as a hobby.

Tastes in TV/Movies/Anime....let's see---my ever growing list of favorites: Charmed, Teen Titans, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Bones, Kim Possible, Fruits Basket, Scrapped Princess, Merlin (BBC), Leverage, Full Metal Panic, Gravitation, Scrapped Princess, Full Metal Alchemist, House MD, Monster, Azumanga Diaoh, Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo), Black Cat,Fantastic Children, Medium, Fringe, Escaflowne, Marmalade Boy, Darker Than Black.

Ah, Nostalgia: Rocket Power, Daria, Hey! Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Fox's Peter Pan, Wild Thornberrys, The Littles, and plenty of others

For movies, animation is tops with the Lion King 1 & 2, The Last Unicorn, and Howl's Moving Castle, with my favorite live action films being Sleepy Hollow [favorite Depp movie], Death Becomes Her, Hocus Pocus, and Ghost (RIP Patrick Swayzee).

My range of music taste covers almost every single genre, with the most focus on Grunge/alternative, rock, and 80s/90s rock and pop [Ace of Base for example].

I like animation in general, although I've been steering more towards anime with a lack of good stuff in the States these days.

What I collect: Pullip dolls, BJD dolls [just starting this], favorite TV Show bits [figures, maquettes, that type of thing], cat and fairy figures.

When it comes down to it in literature/TV/movies/etc, I have no issues with yaoi/yuri, although there are a few characters I'm a bit particular with that on. Otherwise I say, if it could work and they can be happy, I'll support it. Sometimes yaoi/yuri pairings can be more interesting than some very canonical pairings (there's not many shippings in Lost I can stand (especially the Kate Triangle, ugh!) but I love the concept of Ben/Jack for some reason. It just works!). Overall, I'm not the biggest shipper in general, since I usually go along with what's canon. The only exception for me are Booth/Brennan (Bones), Angela/Jack (Bones), Helga/Arnold (Hey Arnold), Takumi/Akira (Mai-Hime), and some strong support of one crossover coupling: ZuRae (Zuko/Raven, Avatar/Teen Titans). I wasn't really born a romantic.

Biggest dream in life: To get back to my literal roots---->which be of course back to the state of California. Washington was a nice road stop for the time, but it was too cold to be permanent lol
